Dr. Fey Ramey is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the Founder of MindGrove Health, with over 18 years of progressive experience in nursing and mental health care. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Duke University, where she developed a passion for integrating clinical excellence with compassionate, culturally informed care.

Dr. Ramey is deeply committed to serving children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan, offering trauma-informed psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy through a warm, collaborative, and client-centered approach.

I provide psychiatric care and supportive therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on multicultural, underserved, and immigrant communities. I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, PTSD, and substance use disorders. I also support caregivers, students, and professionals navigating life transitions, identity challenges, and emotional stressors. My approach is inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, centered on meeting each person with empathy, respect, and personalized care.

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Ramey’s care philosophy is rooted in the belief that healing begins with dignity, safety, and mutual trust. Drawing from Carl Rogers’ person-centered theory, she sees each individual as the expert of their own life experience. Her approach is empathetic, collaborative, and holistic, supporting clients not only through symptom relief but also toward emotional growth, self-efficacy, and long-term wellness.

At Mindgrove Health, Dr. Ramey’s mission is to empower individuals to reclaim their mental well-being and build lives grounded in purpose, balance, and resilience. As a provider, mentor, and mental health advocate, she is also dedicated to training the next generation of nurse practitioners through her clinical preceptorship and inclusive, educational practice model.

Personal Interests

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Feyisetan Ramey finds joy in activities that nurture creativity, connection, and personal growth. She is passionate about mentoring aspiring healthcare professionals, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, and believes in the power of education to transform lives.

Dr. Ramey enjoys reading books on psychology, leadership, and spiritual well-being, as well as exploring integrative wellness practices that complement mental health care. She values quality time with her family, engaging in outdoor activities, music, and cultural experiences that deepen their bond and sense of community.

She also finds inspiration in faith-based service, advocacy for immigrant families, and creating safe spaces where individuals feel empowered to share their stories and reclaim their voices.

James Ramey

Registered Nurse & Practice Manager
BSN – PMHNP Student – Western Governors University

James Ramey is a compassionate Registered Nurse and Practice Manager with extensive clinical experience in mental health and medical-surgical nursing. Over the past 11 years, James has cared for patients with a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, and substance use disorders. He is currently pursuing his Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degree to further specialize in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based mental health care.

In addition to his psychiatric expertise, James has worked in post-operative care, burn trauma units, and critical care environments, developing a well-rounded foundation in high-acuity nursing.

As Practice Manager at MindGrove Health, he integrates his clinical knowledge and operational leadership to ensure seamless, patient-centered care for individuals and families across the lifespan.

Populations Served

James has worked with adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, tailoring his care to meet the unique emotional and physical needs of each group.

 

Philosophy of Care

James practices with a whole-person, patient-centered philosophy, guided by the belief that meaningful human connection is foundational to healing. He states, “There is always more that connects us than that which can divide us.”

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Intern

Adolescents and Adults Main Areas of Clinical Focus:

Acute and complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, major life transitions, self-perception, somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems-informed psychotherapy, parenting and transformation of intergenerational trauma, finding joy and self-fulfillment.

Approach to Care

My approach to care is one of unwavering belief in every person’s innate ability to find, strengthen, and utilize their own inner healer to change and improve their lives. I am simply a facilitator and ally to clients in this process.

Education & Training

I completed my bachelors degree at Smith College (Northampton, Massachusetts), my associates degree in nursing at Santa Rosa Junior College (Santa Rosa, California), and my Master of Science in Nursing at Touro University (Vallejo, California). I am a Clinical Nurse Leader as well as board-certified Nurse and International Coaching Federation Coach, with training in somatic trauma therapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy.

What She Loves About Her Work

I love to help people discover their capacity for change and healing, to witness the incredible transformations that a human can make in the way they perceive themselves, their relationships, and their life experience in this world.

Personal Interests

I majored in Myth of the American West as an undergraduate, worked on a lot of dude ranches in my twenties, and have been a fine art documentary portrait photographer for almost 30 years

Margaret earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Curry College, where she developed a strong clinical foundation and a deep interest in behavioral health nursing.

As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse currently practicing in Massachusetts, Margaret provides compassionate and evidence-based care to individuals navigating mental health challenges and substance use disorders. She integrates clinical expertise with empathetic communication to support patients through times of crisis and recovery.
